Longview is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri with offices in San Francisco, California. 

Officers

  • Eric Hayes co-founded Longview after serving in senior roles at NextEra Energy Transmission and LS Power. Mr. Hayes has supported the delivery of several billion in transmission infrastructure. He started his career as an engineer at Burns & McDonnell. Mr. Hayes holds a B.S., Electrical Engineering, University of Missouri and MS, Electrical Engineering, University of Arkansas.

  • Benjamin Sumers co-founded Longview after serving in senior roles at NextEra Energy Transmission and McKinsey & Company. Mr. Sumers has supported organizational transformations, strategy, and capital allocation for energy firms in Europe and the United States. He started his career as an engineer at a solar equipment manufacturer and holds a B.S., Civil Engineering and M.S., Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.

Functional Leadership

  • Bryan Rushing joined Longview after serving as Vice President, Commercial Operations for Quanta Services, Vice President, PAR Electrical Contractors, and Vice President of Transmission Planning and Compliance, Quanta Technologies. Mr. Rushing has spearheaded several billion in transmission projects. He started his career at Ameren and LS Power and holds a B.A., Business Administration from Drury University, a B.S. Engineering Management from University of Missouri-Rolla, and an MBA from Maryville University.

  • Douglas Healy serves as the External General Counsel of Longview.  Mr. Healy started his career as an advisor to the Chairman of the Missouri Public Service Commission and holds a J.D. from the University of Arkansas and a B.A. and B.S. from Liberty University. 

  • Brandon Pollpeter joined Longview after leading major project delivery for BrightNight Power and LS Power. Mr. Pollpeter held roles on rate-regulated transmission projects in MISO, PJM, and WECC. Mr. Pollpeter started his career as an analyst at the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and holds a B.A. in Environmental Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology and a M.S. In Electrical Engineering from the University of Arkansas.

Advisors

  • William Johnson is an Operating Partner at Stonepeak, where he supports Longview’s utility function including operations, maintenance, and regulatory oversight. Mr. Johnson previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Gas and Electric, President, Tennessee Valley Authority and President, Progress Energy. Mr. Johnson started his career as a Law Clerk at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He holds a J.D. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and a B.A. in History from Duke University. 

  • Miguel S. Calero is an Operating Partner at Stonepeak, where he supports Longview’s development, engineering, and procurement functions. Mr. Calero provides technical oversight of Stonepeak’s involvement in a range of energy investments and previously served as Deputy CEO of Vineyard Wind, where he oversaw the full-scope execution of the first commercial-scale offshore wind project in the United States. His experience spans transmission development, grid upgrades, balance-of-plant delivery, and complex multi-contract negotiations across both regulated utility and competitive market environments.

  • Gary Sumers is a member of Longview’s Advisory Board, where he guides Longview’s capital formation and business building. Mr. Sumers is President of Raven Capital and previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Blackstone’s the real estate business, where he was instrumental in building and scaling the firm’s investment platform into one of the largest and most successful in the industry. Mr. Sumers holds a J.D. from Northwestern University and an A.B. from Washington University in St. Louis.
